2018 RIESLING
Medium gold in colour. Nose has medium intensity showing some fresh tropical fruit notes with dried pineapple and lime blossom.
The palate shows sea spray and Tahitian lime finishing with a lovely floral finesse. It has a citrus acid line that drives the wine to a long finish.
Vintage
Sourced from the Frankland River GI, fruit was machine harvested early morning in small parcels with free run juice transferred to French oak barrels for combination wild and inoculated fermentation. Extended cold settling period before racking and no fining agents or filtration, minimal use of sulphur dioxide and no malolactic fermentation.

Frankland River is inland and northerly, where cool nights and warm days with long sunlight hours provide a Mediterranean climate. Although inland, a moderating sea breeze finds its way into the region.
Ironstone-based gravels and duplex sandy loams lie over clay sub-soils derived from granitic outcrops. These have weathered over time to create the undulating rolling hills that define the region.
